Getmee Recognised as Global Winner at World Summit Awards (WSA)

Australia stands tall on the global stage alongside Rosterfy as the nation’s only two global winners

Getmee, Australia’s award-winning AI-powered employability and communication coaching platform, has been named a Global Winner at the World Summit Awards (WSA) 2025, in the category of Smart Settlements & Urbanization.

Selected by the international WSA Grand Jury in Rio de Janeiro, Getmee was recognised among 140 shortlisted digital solutions from 63 countries, reviewed by 27 jury members representing 25 nations. In a global competition spanning over 100 United Nations Member States, Getmee stood out for demonstrating how purpose-driven digital innovation can tackle real societal challenges while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Getmee is proud to stand alongside Rosterfy, the only other Australian solution recognised as a WSA Global Winner in 2025, highlighting Australia’s growing leadership in ethical, inclusive, and globally relevant digital innovation.

The World Summit Awards, aligned with the United Nations WSIS (World Summit on the Information Society) framework, recognise digital solutions that turn the UN WSIS Targets on the Information Society and the UN SDGs into action toward the 2030 Agenda. The awards celebrate technology that moves societies forward — without leaving people behind.

“This recognition by the WSA Global Jury affirms our mission to use AI for good – helping people, particularly migrants, job seekers and underserved communities, build communication confidence and access meaningful employment,” said Balendran Thavarajah, Founder & CEO of Getmee.

“To be acknowledged on a global stage connected to the United Nations and WSIS targets is both humbling and motivating. It reinforces our responsibility to build technology that is ethical, inclusive, and genuinely impactful.”

Getmee met the criteria:

  • Local and global social impact

  • Alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • Ethical and appropriate use of technology

  • Long-term relevance across diverse cultural and policy contexts

Getmee’s selection reflects its growing global footprint across education, employment services, and workforce development, supporting learners and job seekers to improve professional communication, interview skills, confidence, and employability outcomes through AI-powered coaching.

Getmee also congratulates Rosterfy on its global recognition in the Environment & Green Energy category, and acknowledges fellow Australian representatives Lima AI, Reusably, and Green Fox Training Studio for showcasing the strength of Australia’s purpose-driven innovation ecosystem at the WSA Global Jury.

As part of this global recognition, Balendran Thavarajah will represent Getmee at the WSA Global Congress in Vienna, Austria, in May 2026, joining innovators, policymakers, and global leaders to continue the dialogue on how digital technology can drive inclusive progress towards the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals review.
